I started coaching in 2006 following leaving college, After working delivering Football and PE in Schools in the Peterborough area I joined Histon Football Club working in the Academy from 2007-2010.
Following working with some great age groups at the Football Club and with some players making it at professional's such as Izzy Brown, Nick Freeman and Anthony Scully, in 2010 I was offered the opportunity to work full time at Cambridge United and during that time I ran the Shadow Scholarship U19s programme with the Regional College this was very successful allowing many students to go University, American Scholarships and working as coaches and PE teachers. Also we where able to help harry Darling and Thomas Knowles gain professional contracts and both played first team football during the 2017/2018 season.
I also looked after our Pre Academy and Shadow Academy programs, I oversaw the recruitment for the current U11s-U6s foundation section, age groups that compete with Cat 1 Academies and venture abroad to play the very best in Europe.
Having played against ESA and invited them to many festivals and tournaments I cant wait to get started with the players.
Curriculum Coach & Sports Camp Co-ordinator
I have been a qualified fitness instructor for 22 years. I have always been passionate about health and fitness and have encouraged my 3 children to feel the same way. They have all loved sport and I became more and more involved in sport for children
as they have grew up. I could see how important it was to make sport fun so all children would want to be involved. As well as my regular fitness classes I began to coach Hula Hoop clubs in schools. Even the non sporty children loved it and I knew I
wanted to get more involved in motivating children to take up a sport or simply become more active.
