Testimonial from a ESA Work experience coach

"Whilst carrying out my work experience at ESA, I helped out the coaches going from school to school to to teach primary school aged children PE in order to help develop children's understanding and ability. As soon as I walked into a classroom with a coach, I could instantly tell the close friendships that have been formed between them and the children and the way they look up to them. The coaches treated me with great kindness and shared there knowledge and experience with me in order to help me gain as much as possible from my experience. The best best part about my time with the Elite Sport Academy has been working with the primary school aged children, this is because seeing the children look up to a coach as a role model made me want to become a positive role model myslef. I also really enjoyed the the atmosphere and the relationship with the coaches. I now have many positive memories and have had a good experience which has enabled me to see that coaching is a path I would like to take on in the future. I don't think I could of gained any more experience from the two weeks!"
